London/Berlin, 19th Oktober 2023 – Al-Futtaim IKEA, the region’s leading Swedish home furnishing retailer, unveils its newest Halloween campaign, offering a fresh perspective on the age-old childhood fear that has haunted every generation – bedroom monsters. Whether it’s them hiding under the bed, inside the closet, or behind a curtain, it’s a fear that children can relate to.
In collaboration with Ogilvy London a Berlin, Al-Futtaim IKEA released three spooky films. Each film captures the multifunctional design of the home furnishing range with the aim of reassuring children that IKEA furniture comes absolutely monster-free.
Al-Futtaim IKEA has launched the campaign during the spookiest weekend of the year to provide parents with the same peace of mind they offer their children. It offers children the comfort of knowing that there are no monsters included with IKEA furniture.
Spanning across three major markets, Egypt, UAE, and Qatar, the Halloween-themed campaign will run during the Halloween week, from today until the 31st of October, offering customers exciting deals on a range of home furnishing products and solutions.
For Carla Klumpenaar, General Manager, Marketing, Communication, HF and Retail Design at Al-Futtaim IKEA, UAE, Oman, Qatar and Egypt, the campaign is relatable to every parent around the world. “Our newest Halloween campaign is deeply personal to me as a parent, and I believe it will not only resonate with families in the Middle East, but also worldwide.” – she explains. “Beyond providing well designed functional home furnishing products and solutions, we're offering peace of mind to parents. Let's say goodbye to monsters together with IKEA.”
