In episode #4, Dora Osinde, Chief Creative Officer & Managing Director of Granny, explains why one of the key skills for innovation is remixing and what it takes to apply creativity as a problem-solving competency. She talks about her passion for pop culture and why subculture and the culture of marginalized groups is much more exciting for innovation than the latest BILD tabloid headline. She also talks about how to create an innovation-friendly culture, what it takes to ensure that collaboration between creative and strategy adds value, and why many large companies need to watch out.
Pop culture expert Dora Osinde is the Chief Creative Officer of Granny, the Berlin-based creative agency for entertainment. Having grown up with the Internet, the social media expert knows one thing in particular: how to inspire communities. She not only has her finger on the pulse of the times, she is always one step ahead. And maybe that's why she taps into the zeitgeist with particularly opinionated campaigns. Her new podcast "Last Week on the Internet" (launched in July 2021) is proof of this.
Her understanding of brands, branding and digital communication is in high demand, especially among the big players in the industry: Netflix, Facebook and Spotify are just a few examples of her creative portfolio. All of her campaigns have one thing in common: they are diverse. Dora's unique profile, coupled with her creative talent, paved the way for her to join the Art Directors Club Germany, where she will inspire budding creative talent as a speaker and mentor. In her previous positions as Social Media Manager at Asos Germany and Zalando SE, she developed innovative digital marketing initiatives – always with the vision to make them "social first". It doesn't matter what environment she's in: no matter whether it's a dynamic company, a fast-growing start-up or a global media group. She knows how to skillfully showcase brands and turn customers into fans and followers.
