Health On Her Terms is a study of the way in which women are reflected in health and wellness media and advertising compared with the way in which they see themselves. Any reference to women in this study should be read as including all people who identify as women. The study was conducted by WPP and in partnership with SEEHER to identify:
- How the existing representation of women in media and advertising influences women’s health outcomes
- How self-identity by women should permeate health and wellness communications
- How the portrayal of women by brands in the health sector (and beyond) should be portrayed in terms of women’s healthcare needs across mental health, weight, and reproductive car
