Whilst coaching has become synonymous with senior leadership, there are vast swathes of more junior talent that are missing out on valuable development. Ogilvy UK has announced an industry first, a scheme to offer personal one-to-one coaching to every employee, in every department, in every core business, from apprentices up.
Partnering with top coaching platform Thrive, which has over 200 coaches specialising in areas from feelings of isolation, dealing with anxiety to public speaking and entrepreneurship. The scheme offers three sessions a year, to be taken at any time on any issue. Coaching can be for professional growth or personal wellbeing. Whatever the individual believes to be most valuable at that time.
“Coaching can be life changing. What is brilliant about our new Coaching platform, is that it busts the myth that coaching is only for senior people and only for work related issues. Thanks to Ogilvy we are now making coaching fully inclusive, for all, at the time of need, and for the reason they need it." Gavin Sutton, Head of Learning and Development.
“Ogilvy UK’s creative and cultural success is grounded in employee wellbeing. Combine the coaching sessions with 3:2 hybrid working, improved menopause support, a Safelives partnership tackling domestic abuse, company access to Unmind, counselling and our outstanding Leadership Academy – together they manifest borderless creativity.
Ogilvy UK won our first agency-wide IPA Gold accreditation in 2021. It is no coincidence we were one of the highest awarded agencies at Cannes, WARC, the Clios, D&AD’s, One Show, DMA’s, Creative Moment and Influencer awards in the same year, not to mention successfully pitching for numerous big brands. Ogilvy was known as the University of Advertising, now we are becoming the University of Life.” Fiona Gordon, CEO UK, Ogilvy
“A coach-like culture enables individuals at every level of their organisation to explore their full potential and overcome personal obstacles. The benefits show up in talent retention, attraction, and achievement - and are amplified in the creative industry where there is a strong correlation between a happy, healthy team and commercial success.” Pam Bateson, CEO and founder, Thrive Partners
