Like much of the world, Japan spent much of 2021 in lockdown and with indoor gatherings shuttered. This led to an increase in small group activities that took place outside—in particular, camping became a very popular activity. However, many people had never camped before, and the learning curve can be steep. Especially in terms of building a campfire. Geometry Ogilvy Japan and Kikihibi helped solve this problem by creating the Firestarter, an easy to use and assemble cherry wood kit that, when put together, made it easy to safely build a campfire, one that lasts and creates a nice flavor for open-fire cooking.
