To encourage the Chinese to visit Britain, we told them they could name Britain's landmarks. we opened 101 points of interest for naming on the campaign site. To name other places, namers were urged to personally visit the location and upload their submissions to Weibo. Over 13,000 Chinese names were submitted and top names were immortalized on Google Maps and Wikipedia. There was a 27% increase in visits to the UK from China during the campaign period. The growth in Chinese tourism for the whole year is forecast to add 470 new jobs and 22 million GBP to the British economy.
