The pandemic had a resounding impact on travel, with Bali as one particularly hard-hit area. When limits on gaming went into effect in China, Asian hotel chain Artotel and Ogilvy Singapore saw an opportunity to attract young travelers. The campaign turned hotel rooms at the Artotel Bali into "Gaming Asylums." Concept rooms boasted high-speed Wi-Fi, a fully equipped gaming computer, gaming chair, headset, and preloaded games. The campaign was a success, generating a 535% increase in Chinese visitors and a nearly 60% increase in room bookings.
