Volkswagen and the Department of Transport in South Africa have collaborated on an initiative to help save lives on the road. Of the million road accidents in the country every year, 60% of them happen at night. This led Volkswagen to wonder why driving instruction is generally only given during the daytime. So the brand introduces the world's first nighttime driving academy. As part of the campaign, the brand invited influencers to take the course and drive conversations, and also partnered with insurers to reduce insurance costs for those who completed the course.
