IKEA wanted to launch its new plant-based meatballs by showing everyone that the new meatballs are 100% Swedish. Developed by the brand and Swedish chef Alexander Magnusson, the plant-based option taste and look the same as the traditional meatballs. To make a buzz around the launch, we answered the country of Sweden's famous 2018 tweet revealing that Swedish meatballs weren't actually Swedish. So not only did IKEA create a new plant-based option for those who want to enjoy their famous meatballs, but in fact created the first ever true Swedish meatball.
