Many gaming streamers are banned because of using copyrighted music on their livestreams. At the same time, emerging artists need big audiences to promote themselves too, and gaming streams are among the most popular experiences for young people. Budweiser and DAVID Bogotá saw this as an opportunity and created the "Royalty Free Bot." The brand's BudX Records owns the rights to over 15,000 songs, most by emerging artists, so they created a bot on a discord server that gamers could utilize to play live music on their streams that wasn't copyrighted, allowing the streamers to avoid getting banned and promoting the music of up-and-coming artists to a potential audience of millions.
