The final chapter in Corteva's "Heart of the Farm" series, "The First Farmers" tells the story of Adrian and Donovan Locklear of Locklear Brothers Farms, who carry on the farming legacy on the land of their ancestors in the Lumbee Native American tribe going back generations. The film, a heartfelt story of family and identity, focuses on the hardships and discrimination that the Lumbee people faced, but have continued to persevere through—from the arrival of European colonizers to the Civil War to the KKK.
