To raise awareness of gender-based and domestic violence during the Covid-19 pandemic, the Belgian Secretary of State for Gender Equality, Equal Opportunities, and Diversity collaborated with Ogilvy Social.Lab on the #Actagainstviolence campaign.
The campaign aimed to help people recognize domestic violence and provide hotline numbers for support. In just four weeks, the campaign was launched, featuring flashy green backgrounds and a QR code for easy access to the helpline numbers.
Users could scan the code to access a customized contact card with helpline information and save the number with just two clicks. The campaign encouraged Belgians to join a resistance network against violence, utilizing their phones as a weapon.
